SPARTACUS.APP
A Platform for Conditional Commitment and Collective Action — 2024 ACX Grant Recipient
TypeScript / Next.js / Supabase
URGENT — IMMEDIATE START
Spartacus.app is a live platform for conditional commitment and collective action. Users create campaigns with participation thresholds: pledges only activate when enough people commit, so nobody has to go first alone. The platform enables coordinated group efforts across a wide range of use cases, from community organizing and workplace advocacy to business coalitions and large-scale policy campaigns.
The project is grounded in behavioral economics and game theory — specifically the threshold models and coordination problems that explain why good ideas fail when people don’t want to go first. Spartacus was selected for a 2024 ACX Grant in recognition of its strong underlying ideas and real potential to solve hard, real-world problems. We have completed successful pilot campaigns with unions and AI safety organizations.
